HEALING PROCESS + AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Taking care of your new brows after treatment is extremely important to how your eyebrows will look after they are fully healed and the longevity of your eyebrows. It is highly recommended to follow these aftercare instructions methodically:
Restrictions while heAling:
-Do sleep on face!
-No picking or scratching.
-No getting them wet other than a quick brow wash outside of the shower (FOR 2 WEEKS). This includes shower, sweating, sauna, hot tub, ETC. *See post treatment after care below for brow washing details*
- You must avoid working out for 1 - 2 weeks following your appointment. Very very light exercise is allowed in the second week (little to no sweating), but you MUST clean the tattooed area with lukewarm water as soon as you are done exercising and pat dry with a disposable paper towel. The salt in the sweat will fade the pigment very quickly and give poor results.
- Avoid direct sun exposure for the first 14 days. You MUST wear a hat while outside during the healing process.
- Do NOT apply make-up to the tattooed area for the first 2 weeks. Chemicals of any kind may interfere with the healing and color of your tattoo.
- No swimming pools, jacuzzis or other bodies of water for two weeks.
- Do NOT soak your face underwater in a bathtub or allow the shower to spray directly in your face for two weeks.
- Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading and discoloration of the pigment. Once completely healed, you may apply sunscreen on the treated area. Wear large sunglasses and a hat for further protection. Rinse and dry the area thoroughly when in contact with chlorine.
- Glycolic Acid, Retin-A, face peels and exfoliation must be kept away from the tattooed area as continued use could lighten the pigment.
- If you are having laser resurfacing or laser hair removal after your tattoo has healed, please inform the laser technician. Laser procedures may darken, lighten, or discolor the tattooed area.
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING TREATMENT:
Now that your brows are freshly microbladed, please be aware and mindful of the treatment area. Keep area clean and dry. Do not touch your eyebrows to avoid bacteria transfer, as it will take about 24hrs for the skin to begin the healing process. Be sure to avoid sleeping on the brows while healing. They may feel tight or tender, and appear a little red after treatment.
1. Within the hour following treatment, your brows will begin to ooze lymph. The oozing is normal, so don’t feel like you need to wash the tattoo immediately. The oozing right after the tattoo session induces some of the most beneficial healing that’s going to happen to your tattoo. The blood plasma stimulates the skin to help jump-start new skin growth and blood clotting to protect the open wounds.
2. Around 2-3 hours post appointment, blot brows with a clean tissue to remove any exsessive lymph oozing, this will aid in minimizing scabbing.
3. Night 1, carefully rinse brows with lukewarm water & a gentle fragrance free foaming cleanser (aftercare provided). *be sure to thoroughly wash hands before doing so, to avoid transferring bacteria to the brows.
4. Protect: Apply a very thin layer of vitamin A&D healing balm or Aquaphor (Do not use Neosporin) to your clean brows daily for 7-10 days. For oily or combination skin, use 1X daily. For dry skin use ointment up to 2x daily.
DAY 1-8
Brows will start developing a thin layer of scabs. Continue keeping your brows clean, following the once a day quick gentle rinse + thin layer of ointment protection. Be sure to keep brows dry outside of the once a day rinse + protect routine.
*Do NOT pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness; let the skin fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and premature loss of pigment.*
NOTE: Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. It will appear as though the pigment is gone or barely visible. Within 1-2 weeks, the hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates.
DAY 14+
Brows are safe from water. Client may proceed exercise. Client may return to normal skincare routines, yet it is still important to best avoid serums and harsh chemicals within eyebrow area for optimal pigment retention.
As stated before, brows will appear very light after the scabs all fall off. in the few weeks following, color will continue to surface and set into place. Brows will then become much more visible and heal 2-3 shades lighter than the day you got the procedure.
DAY 28-42
Your brows are finally healed and its about time to come in for your touch up!
You may now see that the brows have healed a few shades lighter than expected and / or may notice patchy areas within the brows where scabs pulled out some of the ink. For these reasons we include your first "After Healed Touch Up", where we fill in any patchy areas and darken pigment color among request. After Healed Touch Up appointments are typically done around a month after your initial appointment.

FOLLOWING TOUCH UP APPOINTMENTS
MINIMAL TOUCH UP (IF NEEDED)
As most results following the "After Healed Touch Up" typically heal to perfection, working with different skin types and textures means perfect results aren't 100% guaranteed. If for any reason your skin is failing to retain some pigment in a certain area of the brow, you can come back for a "minimal touch up" where you only pay for product used for a quick fix of a few hair strokes here and there, as needed. Price determined by case.
MAINTAINING YOUR BROWS
Microblading is a 2-step process, taking two full appointments to achieve desired results. For this reason your 6-8 week touchup appointment is complementary. After the complementary appointment we recommend a yearly touchup to maintain the crispness and freshness of your brows. However, we do offer different touchup schedules because everyone experience the fading process differently and may need to get a touchup sooner than one year.
*All touchup prices are determined by calculating the time since your last paid appointment.
Within 6-8 Weeks Complementary
After 6 months $350
After 1 Year $500
After 2 Years $600
